No crash, no errors, the meter just stops running about halfway through this step.
However, once installation commences (after choosing folders and whatnot), the first it tries to do is remove previously generated components, upon which the installer hangs up. Now trying to get it running once again, and the error messages are gone. I seem to recall getting the error message that the game was already installed, and I gave up after a couple of attempts. I have tried - and failed - to reinstall it before. I removed it from my hard drive to create disk space after the last play-through. It's an unofficial version with patches by Federation of Gamers (or something along those lines), after I lost my original, official game. On my machine, I previously had VTMB installed and running successfully, couple of years ago. And the latter is giving me a hassle, so I thought this was a good place to search for some advice: New to the forum, but a long time player - both PNP and Bloodlines.
